 Industrial Visit Report – BPCL, Naini, Allahabad


 I would like to inform you that we conducted Industrial visit at Bharat Pump & Compressors Limited Naini, Allahabad and nearby different historical places like Sangam & Anand Bhawan on April 22, 2018.

Bharat Pumps and compressors Ltd. (BPCL) (A Public Sector Undertaking under the control of Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises, Govt. of India), was set up in the year 1970 at Naini, Allahabad as an import substitution unit for manufacture of sophisticated process pumps and compressors for core sector industries, which were hitherto being imported by them. The company is engaged in manufacture and supply of heavy duty pumps & compressors and high pressure seamless and CNG/Oxygen gas cylinders / cascades to cater the needs of oil exploration & exploitation, refineries, petro-chemicals, chemicals, fertilizer and downstream industries.

In this visit, the students learned a lot about mechanical machineries and saw different types of Shops (i.e. Different types of heavy lathe machines Conventional/Non-Conventional, Assembly of Reciprocating & Centrifugal pumps with testing etc.). The Bus departed from our college on date 22-04-2018 at 04.00 AM and reached BPCL Naini at 9.45 AM and after that students visited workshop between 10AM to 1.00 PM during visit students got full cooperative supports by the BPCL staff. During visit we were discussed about industrial training with an HR Senior manager in our student’s training. The HR suggested that please provide covering letter with students list and we will give opportunity for industrial training to your students. The students gave a positive feedback and suggested to conduct such visits in future also.
