Jahangirabad Institute of Technology (JIT)is an institute under Jahangirabad Educational Trust Group of Institutions approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for establishment of integrated campus for offering multiple disciplines in Engineering & Management.

The institute is promoted by a number of professionally successful Indians who are settled abroad and have come together to promote higher education with leadership skills to give back to the community.

The institute is located in the historic fort of Jahangirabad, in Barabanki District, about 40 km from Lucknow city. Barabanki of eastern UP has been out of the technology race and remains industrially backward. But now the fort has  been transformed into  an  important center for education, learning and research.

JIT has been founded to cherish the great values of transmission of knowledge, passionate pursuit of truth, maintenance of the highest standards of teaching, and enhancing the intellectual, cultural, economic and social well-being of the minority community. Jahangirabad Institute of Technology (JIT), an institute of higher learning has been established with special considerations for minority in the historical Jahangirabad Fort. Functional, educational and residential infrastructure has been added in addition to restoring the historical building  to  its  original  pristine  beauty.  A  Media  institute,  with  the  state  of  art  facility  in electronic media and film making has completed ten year of the diploma program and has been expanded  into  greater  mass  communication  curriculum  with  graduate  and  postgraduate programs. Our JMI is an approved Study Centre of Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya (MGAHV), Wardha and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi. The JIT has various modern facilities and infrastructure including well equipped laboratories for imparting world class education. Highly qualified and experienced faculty and administration from reputed Indian universities and visiting faculties from USA and Europe provide global exposure to the students. JET is being supported the NRI’s in USA and IMRC (Indian Muslim Relief and Charities).
